Great work by Waldo Squash on his brega version of the ubiquitous “Harlem Shake”.

Great work by Waldo Squash on his brega version of the ubiquitous “Harlem Shake”.

We´re really happy with the current feedback on our recent Tecno Brega compilation (e.g. “Album Of The Year” at Generationbass.com blog and a soon-to-come feature on Arte TV´s “Tracks”). So we decided to kick off a new series here at Man Recordings with free Brega tracks that we receive from our friends from Brazil.
The #1 in the new series is by the king of Tecno Brega, DJ Waldo Squash, who made an amazing Brega remix of Nova Ordem´s classic “Segunda Feira-Azul” in typical Eletromelody style. Grab it for free from below and watch this space for more free Brega heat in the next weeks!
Berlin´s Worldtronics festival kicked off last Wednesday with the Tecno Brega night. It was the first ever Brega night outside of Brasil and it was great to see how well it was received. João Brasil warmed up the crowd nicely partyrocking MPC style. Banda Uó´s amazing, choreographed show followed, including an on stage grinding contest and stagediving. Next up was Belém´s Felipe Cordeiro, who brought his father Manoel, a Parrá guitar legend, and amazed with his Dick Dale surf guitar meets Brega sound. Finally, DJ Waldo Squash stepped up in his Tron outfit and brought the house down with his slammin´set of Tecno Brega and Eletromelody. Big up to Haus Der Kulturen Der Welt and many thanks to the artists, that was a BIG night!
