Electronic Siesta at the Musée du Quai Branly in Paris
Sunday, June 5th, 2011
While in Paris, I went yesterday to the Electronic Siesta (”Sieste electronique”) at the Museum Du Quai Branly in Paris to hear Secousse sound system. Invited to explore the vast music and field recording selection of the Musée Du Quai Branly, DJ Tron, formerly from Radioclit, presented Arabian music and Secousse MC Mo´Laudi presented various African tracks in decks-n-effex manner. Laying in the sun and enjoying the great mix of tracks I felt like being in a tropical garden on some Southern Island but not in the posh 7th arrondissement next to the Eiffel tower. If you´re in Paris this summer, make sure to visit the Museum on Sundays, it´s probably the best afternoon hangout in the city of love right now.
