SAMITOfinal

We here at Man Recordings are extremely happy to present the new release by Canadian-Moçambican singer Samito. “I Saw You” is a trans world Afro house and electro inspired club tune about a lost love.

Samito is a singer-songwriter, producer and performer whose distinct blend of electro, afro and indie vibes bear the marks of the three cities he has lived in: Maputo, Cape Town and Montréal. In 2016 Samito made his first mark with his hit “Tiku La Hina” on Costume Records. This record was streamed and played around the world propelling him into the global club scene and countless live stages. 2016 also saw the release of “Cem Cem (feat. Mabika & Muneshine)” on French fashion + music Label Kitsuné. Now he collaborated with Man Rec boss Daniel Haaksman, who co-produced “I Saw You”. To put it short, Samito is out to roll!

“I Saw You” features the big voice of the mighty Mabika, a Geneva native, now based in Montréal too, keeping it 100. This renaissance-man is a performer, recording and VFX artist. Mabika formerly has collaborated with Christian Pronovost as well with Samito on various occasions. For “I Saw You”, Mabika contributes a super vocal spit in Lingala, a language common in the area of Congo.

The original version received three international remix treatments. The Afro house version comes from Man Recordings´own Daniel Haaksman, sizzling hot new London producer Mina (of Enchufada fame) remixed “I Saw You” into a Naija-pop inspired version. And finally Nairobi´s Jinku, one of the leaders of the East African Wave posse who´s currently putting the new sound of Kenya on the international map.

Play it out, and make everybody dance to the sound of Samito!

Early DJ support from Branko, Poirier, Max Le Daron, Emily Dust and Philippe Cohen-Solal (Gotan Project) amongst others.

U.S. Bass-maestro Astronomar lets Natalie Storm spit fire on a twisted 4/4 ghetto House groove on his dazzling remix. Estonian low-end don Bert On Beats delivers his next club banger with his fuzzy bassed-out version.

Peruvian-Czech Moombahton phenomenon Chong X slows down “Gal U Good”in his trademark mid-tempo fashion. And finally, originator Poirier himself gives the “Hotalie” anthem a brand new treatment which will fill any bashment floor in a finger snap.

Four pipin´ hot remixes – Gal U Good, Poirier U Good!

MAN 069

We at Man Recordings have been a long time fan and supporter of Canadian badboy and producer extraordinaire, Poirier. Now we are proud to release his Alert Riddim EP – Poirier´ debut on Man Rec.

POIRIER

For the slick and bouncy Alert Riddim, Poirier put together a top notch MC casting. The opening track comes from no other than Jamaican bashment queen Natalie “Hotalie” Storm, who delivers the anthemic “Gal U Good” on Poirier´s riddim, destined to shake a multitude of big speakered clubs. Global player MC Zulu brings great vocal licks with his “Call Red Alert”. And last but not least it´s Montréal´s Face T (who already sung on Poirier tracks « Blazin » and « Wah-La-La-Leng ») who rounds up the Alert Riddim love with “The Realness”.

Now let loose selector and faya up di speakers!
