MAN 087 DANIEL HAAKSMAN FT. BULLDOZER "SABADO" REMIX EP

Man 087

Daniel Haaksman´s “Sabado” tune ft. Bulldozer has turned a lot of heads on dancefloors around the world since its release earlier this year with its perfect blending of afro vibes, champeta licks and tropical beats. Now the big tune gets a high quality four-pack remix treatment. In classic Man Recordings fashion, the remix EP comes with four differently tempo and style versions from around the world.

Londons garage bass dons LV, of which Daniel has been a long time fan, deliver an high powered island version of “Sabado” that will rock any party carnival style. South African hot ticket of the moment, Aero Manyelo, twisted “Sabado” into a township style house tune. Remix number three comes from Boogaloo, a long time insider´s tip from Lisbon. For their version, they removed “Sabado”´s original melody and remade it in tropical house fashion. The EP gets perfectly rounded up by the dembow inspired version of UK´s Castro who lately rose to prominence in the global bass scene with his releases on Enchufada records.

Four amazing remixes that can be played in all kinds of DJ sets : Daniel Haaksman´s “Sabado” tune is here to stay in crates and dancefloors all summer!

DANIEL HAAKSMAN "MORE RAMBAZAMBA" OUT TODAY - FREE SO SHIFTY REMIX

MORERAMBAZAMBA

Following his acclaimed „Rambazamba“ album release in May 2011, Berlin ?s tropical pioneer Daniel Haaksman now returns with a remix version of his debut, aptly titled “More Rambazamba“ (a.k.a. “With a blazer”).

„More Rambazamba“ literally translated means „More Mayhem“ („Rambazamba“ is a German word for „stiring up“, „kicking up a fuss“). Ensuring instant dancefloor rage, the musical styles on this album reflect on Haaksman ?s DJ and production style: Always full of surprises, eclectic and high-powered, yet with a gentleman touch. We hear on „More Rambazamba“, to quote Wayne & Wax blog author Wayne Marshall, „creative reworkings of some time-honored Haaksman anthems“ such as „Rap Da Silva“, „Carnival“, „Jesus“ feat. Tati Quebra Barraco or „Bomba“. Marshall: „These remixes overflow with polyrhythmic joy, bumping along with little regard for genre boundaries and in the process creating even more space for winding waists — and tastes!“

The list of remixers on „More Rambazamba“ is hot and high-calibred. Highlights include: Berlin noise master Jan Driver returning with his classic remix of „Hands Up“ feat. Seguindo Sonhos, which also got retouched by Paris hyphy don French Fries. Sound Of Sumo ?s Kry Wolf laid Haaksman ?s „Carnival“ onto a bass heavy, clickety clack UK groove, Estonia ?s Bert On Beats reworked the bumpy cover version of„Din Daa Daa“ in his trademark Kuduro inspired bass style. Big Dope P of Moveltraxxx sent the Rio funk anthem „Rap Da Silva“ to Chicago for a new Juke examination. Hamburg ?s So Shifty injected beefy beats to „Bomba“ feat. Roxxxy Bione, while Chrissy Murberbot put another Chicago infused rhythm onto „Jesus“ feat. Tati Quebra Barraco. And Urbs from Vienna remixed „Rap Da Silva“ in classic JA roots fashion.

DIN DAA DAA REMIX CONTEST – THE WINNERS

DIN DAA DAA REMIX CONTEST - THE WINNERS

Daniel

Gee, this was a tough one! We received almost thirty remixes for our “Din Daa Daa” remix contest, and we got quite a few big remixes in our Dropbox. Naturally, about one forth of the contributions were Moombathon remixes, but then we also received a lot of housey reworks and a few pretty crazy ones. All in all it was great to get this great feedback, a big thank you to all remix contributors: Fed-Ant, O.live.R, HVK Remix, Hüpersonique, Laundrymix, Shantaram, DJ Smooch!, Gimmix, Sven S, Rootkitt, Nagumo, Ducks On Repeat, K.T.I.T., DJ Avatar, Hac Mac, Playground Bounce, Vidám, EJ Flores, Frederic De Varvalho, Hung Like A Horse, Chong X, Hush Hush Pony, Veit B , Keos Peet, Teazz, LA Yute and Technobears.

Some remixers immediately published their remixes which kind of spoilt the nomination procedure, nevertheless, after listening to the remix contributions all weekend, it was eventually clear who were the stand out remixers:

Our #1 is by Boogaloo

Our #2 is by Chong X

Our #3 is by Teenage Mutants

Boogaloo´s remix will be officially released on the “Rambazamba Remixed” compilation, out April 6th on Man Recordings!
