IFUNK

While being on the search for new baile funk tracks, I recently stumbled across Brasilian website IFunk. It´s operated by the crew surrounding the mighty Dennis DJ, one of Rio´s most prolific and commercially sucessful baile funk DJs and producers (he produced the baile funk anthem “Tira Camisa” amongst others). Dennis DJ has been around since the late 1990s and quickly went independent with his own imprint Galerão Records. On IFUNK Dennis DJ not only releases his own productions, but also gives away for free new singles and whole albums by champs such as Mr.Catra, SD Boyz, Dedé Mandrake or Menor do Chapa, as well as younger talents such as Saxofunk, MC K9 or one of the biggest tunes of 2011, “O Treinamento Do Bum Bum” by MC Boom.
