Ghost World

I was at a Toy Art exhibition the other day and fell in love with the Enid doll pictured above, which in real life must stand at about 12″ tall. Enid is of course from the very wonderful “ghost world” graphic novel by Daniel Clowes. In the film adaptation, also penned by Clowes, she is played to great effect by American Beauty’s Thora Birch, who makes her unbearably cynical but bewitchingly sexy at the same time.
